Geez I've fallen off the wagon with these. I'm still drawing them in pencil but for some reason I keep putting off the inking and coloring. Must develop resolve!

Sandshrew

Sandshrew and I just want to say thank you for inviting him to your party. He doesn't get to go many places and he has had a really wonderful time. He wants to give you this card that he picked out himself. Go on Sandshrew, it's okay. Sorry, he's just a little shy. Thanks again, this really means a lot to him.

Here is a funny story.

When I went to Egypt last year we hired a local guy to take us to the Valley of the Kings and show us around and give us a bit of touring. It was pretty nice and his English was very good and he told us he was always improving on it. During some of his explanations of the heiroglyphic carvings though he kept referring to snacks, which I thought was kind of a glib way to refer to funerary food. At one point he finally pointed to a picture as he was saying 'snacks' and oh duh he is saying SNAKES.

Of course by that time I couldn't tell him he had the word wrong because I'd been listening for about ten minutes. I felt bad.

Spearow and Fearow

A bird so majestic as Spearow deserves to be on a US flag clock. Everyone needs one in their rec room!

Rattata and Raticate

First it's a mousey rat with a monkey tail, then it's a hamstery thing with a rat tail.

Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Pidgeot

I'm not very good at drawing birds, these were harder than they should have been.

Beedrill

OK and here is Beedrill. The beedrill looks good I think but I should have made the background darker. No more scary bugs for a while. (Yes I forgot his wings.)

Kakuna

This one turned out better though less dark.

Weedle

I drew a bunch of Pokemon way ahead but put off coloring them because I wasn't sure if I could pull off what I wanted with crayons. I think I did okay though.
