Instead of drawing, I spent a while on this. I've not been able to finish this for various reasons but finally I was able to finish it tonight! It's so lovely! I'm proud of me. Excuse the crummy dining room and junk table, they're included for size. :)

I am very jealous, and stupid. Because I replaced the light bar in our bathroom then THREW THE OLD, YET WORKING LIGHT BAR OUT. I wish I had thought of this. It brings back memories of highschool art classes and hogging the light box. Although I do have a lot of spare MDF, and lightbars are cheap. Perhaps a future project. Conversly what angle did you use? - Cham (official only person commenting on this blog so far)

That's ok, I like your comments! Also I don't think anyone knows that I am posting to this place really, I'm no internet sensation.
I have no idea what angle it is... Those side diagonal pieces are 50cm tall in front and 100cm tall in back, and 43 cm long. So whatever angle that makes. :) I just went for a gentle slope. I didn't want it flat but I also didn't want it too angled, it seems to have worked out just right for me.
I could have used MDF (I used a big sheet of composite wood instead) and it would have ended up being cheaper. The glass was the expensive part though not as much as I thought it would be. For an 80cm by 44 cm sheet of laminated glass (which is 2 layers with that frost in the middle), £25.

oops, I can't edit that, but all measurements were actually in mm, not cm. :) Haha, 1 meter tall in back...

I was wondering :) Crazy american needs a 1 meter high lightbox. I am sure I have a blogger login somewhere.. can't for the life of me remember what it was though.

Had to look in the comments to see what that was you built. I had no idea. =)
I used to read WILT and the repository, and looked at your old blog after those were done. Glad to see you posting again, and news of a new comic is nice.
